Veggie DeLite Pizza

Let's be honest, diet food sucks. Basically everything that tastes good has loads of points attached. I had to eat basically nothing today because I've been craving a good burrito. So I saved up and got one for dinner (totally worth it, by the way). Well, I have a really good meal that you won't have to starve yourself all day to be able to eat. Maybe this is old news, but just in case you don't know about it I thought I would share.
Has everyone already tried Papa Murphy's Veggie DeLite Pizza? If you haven't you're missing out! It's literally my favorite kind of pizza, and guess how many points, for one piece of a Large 14' pizza. Go ahead and guess. Only 4 points! You would seriously never know from the taste, it's so good! Most pizzas are double the points for a smaller piece. I normally hate take-n-bake pizzas because they always end up doughy in the middle. But since this is thin crust it always turns out really well. Plus it only takes 12 minutes to bake. So like an old friend of mine (LeVar Burton) used to say, "you don't have to take my word for it". Give it a try ladies, I think you'll be impressed. Oh, and don't forget to have them add artichoke hearts, it makes all the difference. Enjoy!!

POINTS TRACKER

I made a point tracker on Excel, just open the link and change the 24 on each day to your specific daily point target. Then as you log your food and points in the chart it will automatically subtract from your points and give you the amount you have left. It looks weird and some of you could probably make a better version, but this works pretty good for me.

I don't know how to attach it on this blog so I'll just email it to you guys if you want it.

Good Website

This blog was a good idea Michelle! Great Job! Way-to-go!

I found a cool website where you can look up any food's nutrition info and you can enter an activity and find out how many calories it burns. You can also log your daily foods and your exercise. http://caloriecount.about.com/ Just create an account and you can track everything. You can also enter a recipe and it will determine the nutrition info for you.

BTW, my total weight loss so far is -17 lbs. Only 53 lbs to go, yep I have the most weight of all of you to lose so once you all reach your goal you better not just get up and walk away! You have to keep up the hard work and maintain so I still have the support cause I really need it!

"Heathly Snacks"

I think new ideas for snacks are get, but I have issues with really processed foods, or sugar substitute sweeteners, etc. So I am asking for ideas besides raw nuts, fruits, veggies, cheeses, and yogurts. Lucy and I are REALLY trying to give up candy right now so I could use some ideas-and please nothing with chocolate (I'm not supposed to eat it). I'm not saying that I'm totally organic but I do the best I can on a budget. I do have a great new chip that have half a serving of veggies in each serving-Flat Earth chips. Super yummy and somewhat good for you. Also I asked my sis Ang for a lunch idea that is healthy with low carbs (shes been working with a personal trainer-I know I'm jealous too) and she suggested wheat tortilla wraps. So I make them with low fat veggie cream cheese, provolone cheese, and green leaf lettuce. I think they are so good and because I use the wheat tortilla much better for me:)

Now I must go to finish my peanut butter sprinkled with plain m&ms-see I really do need help. Oh yeah Michelle I have lost 3lbs and now would like to loose another 5lbs. But cant seem to motivate myself so lets see if this helps! (I cant figure out the weight tracker)

Different snacks for different needs

I needs snacks for different reasons. Sometimes I just get really hungry between meals so I need something with very few points, but will fill me up. Other times I'm not real hungry, I'm just in the mood to snack on something. Other times I'm just craving somethin sweet. I don't like to waste too many points on snacks because then I run out of points and have to eat something gross for dinner. I'm going to start a little list of snacks that I keep around for different needs.
Please add your own snack ideas.

I need a filler:
3 egg whites fried & 1 slice of toasted Orowheat double fiber bread, with spray butter=2 pts.
Fiber One bar= 2pts.

I've got the munchies:
Jolly Time Healthy Pop Kettle Corn= 2pts (for whole bag)

Just need a sweet treat:
Healthy Choice fudge bar= 1pt
Weight Watchers Cakes= 1pt
W.W. English Toffee Crunch Ice Cream Bars= 2pts

Introduction

Hi everyone,
It's been two years since I had my baby and I'm still not quite down to my pre-baby weight. I really want to lose those extra pounds, so I'm starting the weight watchers program (on my own). I'm constantly looking for new recipes, low point snacks, and tips to help me lose. The other day I found these amazing popsicles that taste like chocolate creamies, and they're only 1 POINT! I know a lot of other people are doing the same thing and finding great new foods. I started thinking how nice it would be if we had a place where we could share our info and get other peoples help. So here we go, I've invited all of my sisters-in-law and mother-in-law to be authors, and of course comments are welcome. So please share your stories, tips, food finds, etc.
Love, Michelle
p.s. Remember to try these Healthy Choice fudge bars- so yummy & only 1 point!
